Data Import and Export Many agencies and attorneys provide collection services for large debt issuing clients such as credit card companies, debt aggregators and finance companies. The amount of data that must be exchanged to provide these services requires the use of modern data processing technology.
In general, these client organizations have their own proprietary set of reporting requirements for payments, costs and legal data. Likewise, they each have their own preferred method of providing placement files which differ in structure and content. Therefore, custom data import and export interfaces must be developed for these clients.
Debt Tracker currently supports the following interfaces and is prepared to add additional support as needed.
- Discover Financial Service
- Resurgent Capital Services
- Trak America/Capital One
The types of data file structures currently required for reporting by clients generally fall into the following types:
- Comma delimited text (csv)
- Tab-delimited (Excel compatible)
- Excel files
- Fixed field length
XML, a more modern data interchange method is not yet in general use but may be specified by some major debt issuers.
Information Services The External Services interface form provides a means of exporting account information that can be used for obtaining updated addresses and phone numbers from service companies. Data from Accurint, for example, can be cut and pasted into a note record. Debt Tracker currently supports the following services and is prepared to add additional support as needed:
Output from these information service companies can be automatically integrated into the Debt Tracker database by means of the interface.
