System Requirements
Operating System Minimum Requirements:

• Workstation: Windows 2000 or higher
• Server: Windows 2000 Server or higher

Hardware Minimum Recommended Requirements

• Workstation:
• Pentium or AMD (32 bit or higher): 1000 MHz or equivalent
• 256 MB RAM
• Server
• Pentium or AMD (32 bit or higher): 1400 MHz or equivalent
• 2 GB of RAM
• Network Recommended Speed: 100 MHz or higher (Ethernet recommended)

Number of concurrent users (per database) on network: 25 maximum recommended depending on network speed and latency. Faster networks (1GB) may safely support more users. Multiple instance databases may be used, one for each major client.

Note: Terminal Server (Windows 2000 or above) may be used for access by remote users (VPN strongly recommended for security)

Software Requirements
Debt Tracker is a completely self-contained application; it does not require any specific brand of office productivity software in order to operate. Any Windows compatible office suite containing a word processor, spreadsheet or other common office tools can be used in conjunction with Debt Tracker. However, Debt Tracker can produce output files in a form compatible with Microsoft® Office products such as Excel™ and Word™ or Adobe™ .PDF documents. It can read input data files compatible with Microsoft Excel format as required for data exchange with client firms.

Database
Debt Tracker currently utilizes Foxpro variety dBase type files, an industry standard data structure that has been used reliably for many years. These files have a small footprint, offer fast data access, are non-proprietary, easily backed up, accessible to other applications, and require a lesser level of expertise to maintain than backend client/server databases. Export of data to other databases is easily accomplished. They offer acceptable performance in the small to medium sized office environment for which Debt Tracker is intended.

Programming Environment
Debt Tracker is developed in Delphi™ 5.0, a Borland® product. Delphi is an advanced high level object-oriented language based on the Pascal language making extensive use of component based architecture for rapid development. It is used by corporations and thousands of consultants and programmers all over the world since its introduction in 1995.

Delphi is an ideal development platform when customized code must be developed in a rapid and cost effective manner.
